Lovely family-run restaurant! The food was delicious! We started with the fried oysters and I had a margarita. Both were very tasty. They make their cocktail and tarter sauces from scratch. We had the fish bowl meal and the grilled salmon. The fried fish and the salmon were both cooked perfectly. The vegetable sides were seasoned well, not too salty or oily. So glad to support this small, locally owned business.

The best fried fish in the area--hands down! The Fish Boat has been a beloved Croaker's Spot staple for years, and it never disappoints. The fish boat is consistently amazing, and the cabbage and macaroni and cheese are my go-to sides that perfectly complement the meal. Whenever I'm craving exceptional fried fish, this is always my first stop. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly satisfying, flavorful experience!

Amazing food with great portions. The ice tea is so amazing and it's family owned so I like that. We were so hungry pictures could not be taken but definitely a must visit! The building is like an old lighthouse or something but it's interesting. Service is pretty quick and accurate!

Locals favorite. Downtown First off I love the South for the best darn sweet tea on the planet. They put a twist on it, that reminded me of Bmore. So freaking good.

Food- had oysters Rockefeller& crab cakes. Also a side of corn bread. Enjoyed them all. Pricey though, way it goes , eh?! Had an Oktoberfest beer & a mixed drink. Service was good, wait staff friendly . Interesting open concept ceiling with exposed beams, columns, other boards. Octagon shaped building. Got to watch some playoff baseball on bar TV- a plus for 1 of our party.

Fantastic soul/ southern food, clearly made with love. Gigantic portions. We went on a Sunday evening, past the dinner rush, so it was not crowded and there was no wait. The vibe was very laid back, staff walking by all smiled. One server walked by belting out a song- and I gave her a big smile. I was probably one of the only people that noticed because the place was as loud as expected in such a wide open building with cement floors (?). But the building is beautiful. I felt that a lot of the patrons appeared to be relaxed, satisfied and happy, and were enjoying a good meal with friends or family. Service was good, my server was great and told us everything about the menu- she said her goal was to answer every question we had- without having to ask it. My meal came out with a substitution I had not requested, garlic mashed taters instead of the bed of rice for under the salmon, but my server later brought me a side dish of rice "to make it right" even though I said I didn't need it- but I did appreciate it and had even more food to enjoy for dinner the next day. It took a while, but it wasn't that critical to me. I don't go to a restaurant like this expecting perfection, more so the AMAZING food, ambience, and experience of it all I know servers and cooks are just people trying to do their jobs and I . I got the creole salmon- grilled salmon covered by a creole cream sauce with shrimp and sausage, with sides of collard greens and cabbage. Soooo good.
